Flight Logs are a necessary part of every post-flight procedure because it records one's flight experience.  This is especially important for potential employers or clients because it shows that a pilot actually has the experience that they claim, and that the pilot pays close attention to detail.  Furthermore, it is expected the FAA will soon require documentation of flying experience before a pilot may work into the field.
